Honda Racing has announced that the Honda HSV-010 GT will compete in the GT500 class of the 2010 Super GT Series. The Honda HSV-010 GT weighs 1,100 kg and measures 4.675 m in length and 2.000 in width. The race car has a 2.700 m wheelbase. The Honda HSV-010 GT is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 liquid-cooled, naturally aspirated engine with 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder that develops 500+ hp and 392+ Nm of torque. The power of the Honda HSV-010 GT is being sent to the wheels via a constant mesh transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

The Honda HSV-010 GT, HSV stands for Honda Sports Velocity also comes with a double wishbone suspension system with a torsion bar and has a hydraulic ventilated disc braking system. Honda HSV-010 GT race car is based on a recent NSX prototype and will debut during the March 20-21 season opening race weekend at Suzuka Circuit in south-central Japan.
