The box-on-wheels Scion xB project truck is part of this year’s “Scion xB Tuner Challenge” that pits three designers, including Brandon Leung, against each other to build the best customized xB for SEMA. Each was given a car to modify, with $10,000 cash awarded for the best vehicle.
The Bowls Scion xB Tuner Challenge by Brandon Leung features TRD parts like the clutch, a limited-slip differential, a rear stabiliser bar and brakes. For added safety a roll cage is installed. Expect a cool ICE kit courtesy of Pioneer.
Well to be honest I absolutely loved the fist Scion XB they were too cute! But then they “Upgraded them” & well they didn’t appeal to me much anymore…lol
Maybe they appeal to some people for instance with the Nissan Cube, it’s really space moblie type, kinda ugly if you ask me..haha but people seem to buy them..at first I thought they’d never sell..then wow! all of a sudden driving down the street I notice quite a few. Anyways with out blabbering on there is a point to this story & it is that this whole new Scion Truck-thingy isn’t normal looking at all..like OMG! it’s wacky kind of. I think these new car makers are pranksters because cars have gotten ridiculous! Just a few example are The SmartCars, Nissan Cubes, SlugBug V.W., New XB Scion, New Scion Truck-thingy…the list goes on & on. It’s kinda funny isn’t it they think up werid designs & create them..put em’ on a lot for sale & advertise..then hope it becomes a new trend. lol
Honestly I think this thing looks pratty cool but I’ve never liked scions and I think you guys just took the idea from the Pontiac G6 truck and the Elcamino
